A & B; At higher pressure, more heavy ends will get dissolved in L1 (only to come out with G2 at  lower pressure in stage2 and therefore, mol. wt. of G1 will be lower at higher pressure. Similarly, more gaseous components will remain dissolved in L1 at higher pressure and therefore, G1 at lower pressure will be higher. 

Q28. I referred 3 of my ex-colleagues Adam, Sam, and Tom to my new employer during a recent recruitment drive in the Company. So, the HR invited all three of them over for interview. But later when I asked for the feedback, the HR Manager informed that one of the candidates did not turn up for the interview. When I asked who he was, the HR Manager answered in the following manner: 

1. The shorter of Adam and Sam was the older of the candidates invited for interview

2. The younger of Sam and Tom was the shorter of the candidates invited for interview

3. The taller of Adam and Tom was the younger of the candidates invited for interview

Please help me find out who did not attend the interview? 

Tom did not attend the interview.

From (1) Tom was not the older candidate. From (3) Sam was not the younger candidate. So, either: 

Case I: Adam was the older candidate and Tom was the younger candidate

Case II: Sam was the older candidate and Adam was the younger candidate

Case III: Sam was the older candidate and Tom was the younger candidate

Then: 

From (3), Tom was the taller candidate for Case I and Tom was taller than Adam for Case III.

From (1), Sam was the shorter candidate for Case II and Sam was shorter than Adam for Case III. 

From (1) and (3), Tom was taller than Sam for Case III. 

From (2), Adam was not the shorter candidate. So, Case I is eliminated. From (2), Sam cannot be both older and shorter to Tom; So, case III is eliminated.

Then Case II is the correct one and so, Tom did not turn up for the interview.
