Q24. You are standing outside a room with three switches next to you. All 3 switches are currently off. Each switch is connected with a different light bulb inside the room. The room door is closed and so you cannot see which switch is for which bulb. If you are allowed to go into the room only once, how will you determine which switch operates which bulb.
First turn any one switch on. After sometime turn it off and turn the second switch on. Then go into the room and touch one of the bulbs that are turned off. If the bulb is warm then it is connected to the first switch (if it is not then it is connected to the switch that remained off) while the second switch will be connected to the bulb thats turned on.
